Bulgarian authorities have taken action against the online sale of injectable peptides marketed for weight loss. Two websites offering these products have been taken offline following inquiries from the “Dnevnik” newspaper. The General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime confirmed the shutdowns, responding to concerns about the unregulated sale of these substances through social media. As of yet, no individuals have been sanctioned for trading in peptides. The products gained popularity on social media platforms, raising health and safety concerns due to their unregulated nature and potential risks. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and address the growing trend of online peptide sales. Further investigations are underway to identify and prosecute those involved in the illegal trade.
