The Standing Committee on State Structure held a hearing today for candidates nominated to the General Election Council (GEC). According to the law, the Parliament conducts hearings on candidates proposed by the Standing Committee from among career civil servants, for a six-year term. N. Myagmar and Ts. Urtnasan were nominated by the committee for GEC membership. No observers or participants were registered for the hearing. The hearing proceeded according to established procedures, with each candidate being questioned individually by committee members. N. Myagmar has held various positions including lecturer, department head, director, administrative manager, consul, project manager, and head of legal departments within government agencies. Ts. Urtnasan’s career includes roles as a deputy governor, department head in ministries, head of the Social Insurance General Office, and leadership positions within the Democratic Party, as well as advisor to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change.
