Parent Organizations in Guatemala (Organizaciones de Padres de Familia - OPF) are instrumental in delivering support programs from the Mineduc (Guatemala’s Ministry of Education) to students. These groups manage and distribute resources allocated for student assistance. As of August, these parent organizations have executed Q4,595 million in program funding. The work of the OPFs ensures these programs reach those who need them most within the Guatemalan education system. This demonstrates a collaborative approach between the government and families to support education. The funds are used for essential items like food, school supplies, and tablets for students. The success of these programs relies heavily on the effective administration by the parent groups throughout Guatemala.
