Two men have been arrested in Sargodha, Pakistan, accused of burying a 14-year-old boy alive after he reported being sexually assaulted. The crime came to light when a passerby noticed the boy’s hand emerging from the ground, leading to his rescue by local residents and police. Authorities allege the boy was initially assaulted approximately 20 days prior and threatened with further harm if he revealed the abuse. After learning the boy had confided in family members and identified his attackers, the suspects allegedly kidnapped and buried him in a remote area. Police have confirmed two arrests and are searching for a third suspect involved in the incident. The victim is currently hospitalized in critical condition, and further legal action will follow once his statement can be taken. District Police Officer Sohaib Ashraf confirmed the details of the case to Dawn.
