Pakistan’s Foreign Office has strongly condemned an “unprovoked” Israeli attack on an airbase in Syria’s Aleppo province. Syrian state media reported eight airstrikes targeted the Abu al-Duhur base’s runway and storage facilities. Fortunately, initial reports indicate no casualties occurred as a result of the strikes. Pakistan views the action as a “flagrant violation of international law” and a threat to regional stability. The country reaffirmed its support for Syria’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and its pursuit of peace and prosperity. Pakistan urged the international community to address Israel’s repeated violations of international law and hold them accountable for destabilizing regional actions.
