The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre (NDM) in Ostrava will expand its capacity with a new performance venue created through the renovation of Pavilion G, located in the Černá Louka district. The repurposed exhibition hall will function as a multi-purpose space, accommodating not only theatrical productions but also a variety of other cultural events. The venue’s adaptable design allows for flexible configurations to suit diverse performances and gatherings. Theatre officials are currently soliciting name suggestions for the new space, with “Géčko” and “Bílý dům” (“White House”) being considered as working titles. The renovation aims to enhance the cultural offerings available in Ostrava and provide a modern, versatile platform for artistic expression. The project signifies an investment in the region’s cultural infrastructure.
