Oslo police experienced a hectic night on Sunday, June 14, due to numerous public disturbances in the city center. Operations manager Vidar Pedersen reported various fights, though no serious injuries occurred beyond a few visits to the emergency clinic. Despite the timing, police clarified that World Cup screenings were not a source of conflict. Instead, significant resources were diverted to manage "russ" students celebrating their final graduation days. Officers spent much of the night "herding" the students after receiving multiple noise complaints. Police first intervened at Tryvann, ordering buses to leave the area and lower their music. Shortly after, the same issues recurred in Sørkedalen as the groups relocated.
