A person died and multiple others were injured in an accident involving a roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia, located west of Atlanta, Georgia. Authorities have launched an investigation, led by the Serious Crimes Unit of the local police department, but have not yet released details regarding the cause of death. Witnesses told WXIA television that a man was ejected from the Goliath roller coaster and struck multiple times before falling. The circumstances surrounding how the man was thrown from the ride remain unclear. A Six Flags spokesperson expressed sorrow over the incident, while another Six Flags park in Southern California recently announced the closure of its X2 roller coaster following lawsuits alleging serious brain injuries. The company recently settled with the family of a 22-year-old man who died after riding the X2 in 2022.
