The National Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) has abolished paid voting for the People’s Choice category of the 23rd Pulsar Sports Award. This decision aims to ensure a more equitable and transparent contest. Previously, voters could participate by paying a fee, a system the NSJF has now deemed problematic. The move intends to empower genuine sports fans to select their preferred athlete without financial barriers. Five nominees have been revealed for the prestigious award. This change reflects a commitment to integrity and broader public participation in recognizing sporting excellence. The NSJF hopes this revised system will better reflect the public’s true preferences.
