Train services between Arnhem and Utrecht in the Netherlands will be suspended for twelve days, from October 20th to October 31st, due to essential track work and the construction of a new railway underpass near Wolfheze station. The project is being undertaken by ProRail in two phases, initially affecting travel between Driebergen-Zeist and Arnhem Centraal, as well as Driebergen-Zeist and Rhenen, until October 23rd. Subsequently, trains will not run between Arnhem Centraal and Ede-Wageningen from October 24th to October 31st. NS, the Dutch national railway, will provide replacement bus services, but passengers are encouraged to consider alternative travel routes due to expected high demand. Travelers to Utrecht are advised to travel via 's-Hertogenbosch, while those heading to Amsterdam or beyond should go through Deventer. ProRail is utilizing specialized equipment, including the Kirow-spoorkraan—the largest rail crane in the Netherlands—and has established viewing locations for the public to observe the work.
