Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has launched a ₦100 million (approximately $66,000 USD) grant program to support 2,000 women petty traders in Benue State. The initiative aims to provide financial empowerment and boost local businesses within the region. Alongside the grant distribution, the First Lady inaugurated a new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) center. This center is intended to address the digital divide and equip residents with essential technological skills. The ICT centre will offer training programs designed to enhance digital literacy and promote economic opportunities. The projects reflect a focus on women’s economic empowerment and technological advancement in Nigeria. The initiative is expected to contribute to improved livelihoods and increased participation in the digital economy for Benue State residents.
