Nigerian troops have successfully rescued 14 individuals who were kidnapped along the Lagos-Benin Expressway in Edo State. The operation was carried out by the 4 Brigade, under the 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, as part of Operation Whirl Stroke. Acting on credible intelligence gathered during a routine patrol, the troops located and freed the victims in the Ovia North-East Local Government Area.
