NHL players are expanding their investments into the restaurant business, with Mikael Granlund, Anton Lundell, and Miro Heiskanen leading a group of thirteen NHL players who have invested in Fat Tony's, a sports bistro in Vallila, Helsinki. The bistro opened in June and has quickly become a phenomenon within the industry. According to the restaurant’s founder and owner, Tony Honkanen, there was significant interest from other potential investors. Other notable NHL players involved in the investment include Roope Hintz of the Anaheim Ducks, Teuvo Teräväinen of the Chicago Blackhawks, and Esa Lindell of the Dallas Stars, alongside Lundell and Heiskanen who also play for Dallas Stars. The new ownership group represents a significant boost for the popular Helsinki establishment.
