A 3.9km road connecting Tolgoi to Ard Ayushii in Ulaanbaatar, opened in October of last year, is nearing completion with 91% of work finished. The project, undertaken by a partnership between Mongol Zam Group and Ganburd LLC, is slated for full completion by July 10th, ahead of the Naadam festival. The 74 billion MNT road features four access points, one bridge, and drainage systems along its length. City officials state the road is primarily intended for public transportation, offering a bypass to alleviate traffic congestion on Peace Avenue and in the Onor district. Studies indicate the new route could reduce traffic load by over 30%. Installation of traffic lights and safety features at intersections is planned before August 1st, though the project faces minor challenges related to utility lines and land acquisition, according to the construction company.
