Energy company MND has launched a large-capacity battery storage facility in Hodonín, Czech Republic, commencing test operations. This is the second such facility for MND, following one opened in Břeclav in April. The company plans to build four additional storage systems, bringing the total investment to over one billion Czech crowns. These facilities are designed to stabilize the electricity grid by balancing fluctuations between production and consumption. The project aims to enhance energy security and, eventually, contribute to lowering electricity prices for both households and businesses. MND expects these storage solutions to play an increasing role in integrating renewable energy sources into the Czech grid.
