The 30MW Khani Khola hydropower project, located in the Dolakha district of Nepal, has begun test electricity generation. Currently, the project is supplying power to the national grid as part of a 15-day testing phase. This testing period will precede the official commencement of commercial operations for the hydropower plant. The project represents an important step in increasing Nepal’s electricity production capacity. Successful completion of testing will signify the project’s readiness for full-scale power generation and contribution to the national energy supply. This development is expected to bolster energy security within Nepal. The Khani Khola project signifies continued investment in renewable energy resources within the region.
