Recent devastating floods in Rasuwagadhi, Nepal, completely eradicated the bordering town and all established border markers with China. This left the boundary between the two countries undefined and physically nonexistent. In response, Nepali security personnel installed a Nepali flag in the area to re-establish and clearly delineate Nepal’s territory. This action symbolically reasserts Nepali sovereignty following the natural disaster. The installation aims to prevent potential disputes and provide a clear visual marker of the border.
