Heavy rainfall has caused widespread flooding and landslides across three districts in Nepal – Bajura, Kaski, and Jajarkot. In Bajura, one person is currently missing and at least two individuals have sustained injuries as a direct result of the severe weather. The situation is particularly critical in Kaski, where floods have completely washed away bridges, disrupting transportation networks. Jajarkot is experiencing significant damage to homes and blocked roadways, hindering access for rescue and relief efforts. Authorities are responding to the disaster, but difficult terrain and ongoing rainfall are posing challenges. The extent of the total damage is still being assessed as the monsoon season continues. Residents are urged to exercise caution and follow local advisories.
