Every year, South African matriculants encounter the stressful challenge of deciding their future career paths. This critical transition occurs within a global landscape characterized by significant unpredictability and uncertainty. Young people often struggle to determine their direction while facing immense pressure from societal expectations. The article highlights that adults frequently overlook the difficulty of this process for adolescents. There is a pressing need to re-evaluate how expectations are placed upon these students.
