A nationwide Vitamin A capsule distribution campaign is set to begin across Bangladesh on June 28th, running from 8 AM to 4 PM. The campaign aims to administer Vitamin A capsules to over 23.5 million children aged between 6 and 59 months. This initiative marks the resumption of the program after a 14-month pause. Special arrangements are planned for remote areas within 12 districts, encompassing 58 upazilas, 290 unions, and 714 wards. These areas will undergo a four-day follow-up “child-to-child” search to ensure maximum coverage. The campaign seeks to bolster child health and prevent Vitamin A deficiency related illnesses. Further details regarding the campaign’s logistics and implementation are expected to be released shortly.
