National Taiwan University (NTU) has reached its highest-ever ranking in the QS World University Rankings, climbing to 54th place globally. This advancement is largely attributed to a perfect score in the “International Research Network” indicator, reflecting strong international research collaborations. The QS rankings, released by the British higher education research firm Quacquarelli Symonds, assess universities based on academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact, and internationalization. This marks a significant improvement for NTU, demonstrating its growing international prominence in higher education. National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) also achieved a milestone, entering the top 200 for the first time. The positive results reflect Taiwan’s increasing investment and focus on research and international academic partnerships. These rankings are closely watched by students and institutions worldwide as a benchmark for university performance.
