Romania will launch a national online platform, “e-SănătateaMea,” in October to manage medical appointments within the public healthcare system. The initiative, proposed by interim Health Minister Cseke Attila, aims to simplify the process for patients seeking care. All hospitals and medical service providers will be required to integrate with the platform, managed by the National Health Insurance House (CNAS). The portal is intended to become the primary method for scheduling appointments, enhancing accessibility and efficiency. Details of the project suggest a comprehensive overhaul of appointment booking procedures. This move represents a significant step towards digitizing Romania’s healthcare infrastructure and improving patient experience. The platform’s implementation is expected to impact all citizens utilizing public healthcare services.
