A gilded statue depicting a naked Donald Trump was unveiled Tuesday inside the European Parliament building in Strasbourg. The satirical artwork, titled “Oranžový mor” (Orange Plague) by Danish artist Jens Galschiöt, portrays an obese, nude Trump seated atop a smaller, leaner man. Danish Member of the European Parliament Per Clausen, from the European United Left–Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL) group, invited the artist to display the work during this week’s plenary session. The sculpture is intended as a critical commentary on the former US President. The provocative piece is set to remain on display within the Parliament until Thursday, sparking debate among lawmakers and visitors. The installation has drawn attention for its unconventional form and political message within the halls of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
