A landslide triggered by monsoon rains in Mumbai, India, has claimed the lives of at least seven people. The disaster occurred early Wednesday morning when a hillside collapsed onto a cluster of homes in the Ghatkopar suburb. Authorities report four others were injured in the incident. Rescue workers recovered ten individuals from the debris and transported them to local hospitals. Sadly, six of those rescued—including two children and two teenagers—were pronounced dead upon arrival. Four injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment, as authorities continue to assess the damage and monitor the ongoing monsoon season.
