MTN Uganda is bolstering its cashless payment systems through a partnership with EBus Xpress, an electric bus operator. This expansion accompanies the launch of three new EBus Xpress routes serving commuters within Kira Municipality, starting August 28th. The new routes connect Ntinda to areas like Nakwero, Najjera, and Kiwologoma, enhancing transport options for residents. The initiative aims to promote convenient and secure transactions for public transport users. By integrating MTN’s mobile money services, commuters can easily pay fares without cash. This development reflects a growing trend towards digital payment solutions in Uganda’s public transportation sector. It also highlights MTN Uganda’s commitment to expanding internet connectivity and financial inclusion.
