The 30th edition of M’Saho, a major celebration of timbila music and Chope culture, is underway in Zavala, Inhambane province, Mozambique. Organized by the Provincial Executive Council of Inhambane, with production by Top Produções and sponsorship from Sasol, the three-day festival runs from October 27th to 29th. M’Saho features a diverse program including musical performances, traditional dances, workshops, lectures, and commercial fairs. The event aims to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Chope people, centered around the timbila – a traditional wooden xylophone. The festival also provides a platform for cultural exchange and community engagement. It is expected to draw significant attendance and contribute to the region’s cultural tourism.
