A partnership between the Commercial and Investment Bank (BCI) and ChildFund Mozambique will provide clean drinking water to over 2,000 children and approximately 3,000 community members in rural Mozambique. The collaboration, formalized in Maputo, involves the construction of four wells in the provinces of Gaza, Inhambane, and Nampula. This initiative marks 30 years of BCI’s presence in Mozambique and strengthens the ongoing cooperation between the two organizations. BCI officials emphasized the bank’s commitment to sustainable economic and social impact within the country, prioritizing children’s well-being. ChildFund Mozambique highlighted the critical link between access to clean water and children’s development, including health, dignity, and educational opportunities. The project aims to improve education, health, and overall quality of life in targeted rural communities.
