Mozambique and the European Union have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation during the 4th session of their Partnership Dialogue. Both sides reviewed positively their existing relationship and identified key strategic areas for enhanced collaboration. Mozambique’s Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of the EU Ambassador’s presence, signifying continued EU commitment to the strategic partnership based on mutual trust and shared goals of peace, stability, and prosperity. Mozambique’s active participation in dialogue mechanisms established by existing agreements was also emphasized, demonstrating a commitment to joint problem-solving. The country’s ratification of the Samoa Agreement, the legal basis for EU-OACP Partnership Dialogues, was noted. Furthermore, the recent Global Gateway Forum held in Maputo was presented as evidence of the strong ties, with both sides viewing it as a platform for sustainable investment in infrastructure, energy, and logistics.
