Czech motorists’ group, Motorists, has presented proposals to the ANO party aimed at reducing the country’s substantial budget deficit. Foreign Minister and Motorists chairman, Petr Macinka, indicated these proposals could potentially lower the deficit by at least 20 billion Czech crowns. Discussions are ongoing, with Macinka seeking meetings with ministers of health, education, and transport. The current budget deficit stands at 389 billion crowns, and Motorists are pushing for more than superficial cuts. The group hopes to achieve significant savings through their proposed measures. Further discussions are scheduled for Monday, as negotiations continue to address the financial shortfall.
