This marks the ninth consecutive day the city has exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, representing a summer peak. Data from the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute (FHMZ) confirmed the extreme heat. Meteorologist Nedim Sladić reported the concerning trend, highlighting the intensity and duration of the heatwave. The city, located on the Neretva river, is facing challenging conditions as temperatures remain exceptionally high. Residents are urged to take precautions against heatstroke and dehydration during this period. This ongoing heatwave poses potential risks to public health and infrastructure.
