Morocco’s National Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center is proactively addressing potential summer blood shortages with a targeted outreach program. The agency plans to increase its presence at popular beaches and cultural festivals, capitalizing on large public gatherings. This initiative aims to maintain sufficient blood supplies during a season when donations typically decline. According to Jamila El Kourdou, a representative of the agency in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, a pre-planned methodology is employed to ensure effective donation collection. The strategy focuses on convenient access for potential donors at leisure and event locations. This approach seeks to mitigate the seasonal dip in donations and secure adequate blood reserves for medical needs. The program represents a focused effort to meet healthcare demands throughout the summer months.
