A Moroccan parliamentary inquiry into subsidized sheep imports is stalled as ruling and opposition parties fail to coordinate. The planned “coordination meeting” between the groups did not occur on Friday, marking another week without progress. The inquiry aims to investigate support directed towards sheep importation into Morocco, a politically sensitive topic. The National Rally of Independents (RNI) party has already stated it will not participate in the initiative. This lack of consensus hampers the formation of a fact-finding committee. Further delays cast doubt on the timely investigation of the issue and potential transparency concerns. A previously scheduled meeting for Monday was also unsuccessful in bridging the divide.
