Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie conducted a security operation Wednesday in the outskirts of Tangier, dismantling two clandestine workshops. These workshops were reportedly modifying trucks to conceal illicit materials. The raid resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of nitrous oxide, commonly known as “laughing gas.” According to sources, the operation was carried out by a patrol from the local Gendarmerie center. Details regarding the intended use of the nitrous oxide and any arrests made have not yet been released. The operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat the trafficking of prohibited substances in the region. Hespress, a Moroccan online newspaper, initially reported the findings from private sources.
