Moroccan academic Khaled Myar Al-Idrissi has described the rise of posthumanism as “the most dangerous idea known to humanity,” echoing a sentiment previously expressed by Fukuyama. He asserts this trend represents not a fleeting intellectual fad, but a genuine challenge to religious frameworks and all other established systems. Al-Idrissi presented these views during a session titled “The Theology of Posthumanism and the Future of Religion” at a conference on religion. The discussion focused on the potential impacts of posthumanism on established belief systems and societal structures in Morocco. He emphasized the need to critically examine the implications of this emerging ideology. The session was part of the second day of the conference, hosted by Hespress, a Moroccan online newspaper. Al-Idrissi’s intervention aims to spark dialogue about navigating the philosophical and theological shifts presented by posthumanist thought.
