The “Khuree Tsam-Danshig Naadam 2026,” a cultural and religious festival in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, commenced with wrestling and archery competitions. This year’s wrestling tournament features 224 competitors, including prominent wrestlers like State Champion E. Oyunbold and State Lion B. Batmunkh. The competition began with the first three rounds of wrestling, with notable upsets including State Honored Wrestler E. Vandantseren losing to A. Amarsaikhan and State Honored Wrestler B. Bayanmunkh losing to B. Bayarmagnai. Simultaneously, 810 archers are participating in the archery competition, comprised of 501 men and 309 women. Archers will compete across 40 rounds, vying for the top ten positions. The archery event includes several titled archers, including three Distinguished Archers, three Excellent Archers, five Great Archers, 16 State Archers, and 44 other titled archers. International participants from Italy and Tuva are also competing in the wrestling tournament.
