The Mongolian Stock Exchange (MSE) and Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi (ETT) have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on ETT’s transition to a publicly traded company. The agreement focuses on preparing for the initial public offering, managing share registration changes, and facilitating legal and effective trading of shares on the exchange. This partnership aims to empower the 1072 shareholders of ETT to manage and trade their holdings, and to develop a secondary market for securities. It also seeks to broaden market participation and attract foreign investment. Further collaboration will include expanding international partnerships, promoting the investment climate, increasing the customer base for mining products, and introducing futures trading. The MSE views this as a significant step towards developing a transparent and accessible capital market in Mongolia.
