The Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament, S. Byambatsogt, held a press conference outlining the results of the spring session, emphasizing legislative activity, parliamentary oversight, and increased transparency. The session prioritized citizen-focused reforms and legal changes to support the economy, business environment, and livelihoods. During the session, 35 plenary meetings and 127 standing committee meetings were held, addressing 263 issues with an 82% attendance rate – a 5% increase from the previous autumn session. A total of 278 laws and resolutions were approved, laying the groundwork for reforms in areas like income, business, healthcare, and the environment. Notable legislative changes included amendments to tax laws, resulting in a revised tax system aimed at protecting citizens’ income and improving the business climate, providing a benefit of 2 million MNT per year to 1.3 million taxpayers.
