Mongolian mining company Achit-Ikht has been recognized as one of the nation’s top 100 companies for the ninth consecutive year, solidifying its contribution to the country’s economic development since 2015. As a member of the London Metal Exchange, Achit-Ikht operates a copper cathode production facility in Orkhon province, aiming to increase copper processing levels and produce higher value-added products under the slogan “Copper is Our Future.” The company reports over 500 billion MNT in procurement from over 2,000 domestic businesses and individuals, creating over 300 local jobs. Achit-Ikht has contributed 436.9 billion MNT to the national budget, including 52.9 billion MNT to local budgets, and made significant payments to national funds and the Erdenet factory. Committed to responsible mining, the company invests in social responsibility initiatives, including environmental protection, youth development, education, and local infrastructure, such as a new ice sports arena and a large-scale tree-planting program as part of the national “One Billion Trees” campaign.
