Monos Pharmaceutical Factory recently inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the production of traditional and herbal medicines. Established in 1990, Monos has focused on developing products based on traditional Mongolian medicine, culminating in this GMP-certified plant. The factory blends ancient knowledge with modern pharmaceutical standards, advanced technology, and smart manufacturing solutions. The 8,340 square meter facility includes dedicated areas for processing herbs, manufacturing liquid and solid dosages, and a GDP-compliant warehouse. With a total investment of 30 billion Mongolian Togrog, the plant features 168 rooms, including 140 cleanrooms, and advanced production lines for various herbal formulations. The project aims to develop Mongolia’s traditional medicine heritage into internationally competitive, export-ready products, initially expanding upon 22 existing products. The factory’s operations encompass primary processing of plants, extraction, concentration, drying, and the production of diverse medicinal forms.
