Mongolia’s Minister of Education, L. Enkh-Amgalan, met with Pearson’s Vice President, Jane Baker, to discuss expanding collaboration in technical and vocational education. The meeting focused on evaluating the current implementation and impact of the Pearson BTEC program in Mongolia. Both parties agreed to deepen cooperation to align training programs with international standards, strengthen teacher capacity, and enhance quality assurance systems. A key focus will be the phased introduction of BTEC programs into polytechnic colleges, initially expanding beyond successful implementation in IT to include priority economic sectors like agriculture, tourism, and engineering. This expansion aims to improve graduates’ internationally-recognized skills and employability, as well as increase access to further education. Pearson, a global leader in education, currently operates in over 70 countries and offers widely-recognized vocational programs.
