Mongolia began its seasonal flu vaccination campaign today, September 3rd, earlier than in previous years, under the slogan "Together Against Flu." The goal is to vaccinate target groups before the onset of the flu season, typically peaking between October and February. This year, the government has increased the vaccine supply to 500,000 doses, aiming to fully cover the target population, up from 300,000 doses last year when 99% of the target group was vaccinated. The vaccine, a quadrivalent type recommended by the WHO and manufactured in South Korea, will be administered free of charge to children aged six months to six years, pregnant women, seniors aged 65 and over, and individuals with chronic illnesses.
