Mongolia’s Intellectual Property Office (IPO) issued 42 new patents for inventions and 124 for product designs in the first half of the year, according to data released by the National Statistics Office. The IPO received 104 patent applications for inventions and 233 for product designs during the same period. While patent activity remains strong, utility model certificates decreased by 14.7% compared to the previous year, with 58 applications received and 29 certificates awarded. These statistics indicate ongoing innovation and intellectual property development within the country. The data was presented alongside broader updates on Mongolia’s socioeconomic indicators.
