The East Asian Volleyball Championship concluded last Sunday, with Japan claiming the gold medal after defeating China 3-0. South Korea secured the bronze medal, winning against Hong Kong 3-0 for their second consecutive bronze in the tournament; they previously won silver in 2010. Teams from Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mongolia, and Macau competed in the championship held in Hong Kong. Mongolia’s national team lost to both South Korea and Hong Kong in Group A, but defeated Macau 3-0, earning a place in the fifth-place match against Taiwan. Unfortunately, Mongolia lost to Taiwan 0-3, finishing the tournament in sixth place overall. This victory marks Japan's sixth championship title in the East Asian Volleyball Championship.
