A recent discussion program, “Na dosah,” explored the complexities of love and relationships in the 21st century. Hosted by Daniel Stach, the program brought together experts from diverse fields including psychology, sociology, philosophy, music, and self-defense. Participants included Helena Sováková, Michal Horák, Markéta Šetinová, Jakub Sedláček, Tomáš Koblížek, and Pavel and Jasmína Houdkovi. The conversation drew on scientific research, personal experience, artistic expression, and philosophical thought to analyze modern connections. A central consensus emerged: relationships today differ significantly from those of the past. The program acknowledged the enduring human need for connection while highlighting the new challenges and dynamics present in contemporary relationships, echoing historical reflections on love’s complexities, such as those found in Shakespeare’s work.
