The town of Mikulov, in the Břeclav district, has completed a major restoration of the hillside beneath the Kozí hrádek ruins. The project, costing over 45 million Czech crowns and following years of planning and a year of construction, focused on improving accessibility and aesthetics. New pathways, viewpoints, and rest areas have been created for visitors. Crucially, the restoration also included the construction of water retention terraces and extensive replanting of vegetation. The revitalized hillside aims to enhance the area’s appeal for both locals and tourists, preserving its historical character while providing improved recreational opportunities. The project represents a significant investment in the cultural and natural heritage of the region.
