A collaborator of the popular Mexican television program “Hoy,” psychic Farath Coronel, was found dead in Mexico on Friday, September 4th. This discovery occurs as authorities prepare to transfer individuals implicated in the 2019 murders of musician Jonathan Meléndez of the band Camilo Séptimo, and his family. The suspects, an accomplice and the alleged killer, are being moved from the State of Mexico Public Prosecutor’s Office complex to the Barrientos Social Reintegration Center in Tlalnepantla. Details surrounding Coronel’s death remain scarce and its connection to the Meléndez case, if any, is currently unconfirmed. Authorities continue to investigate both cases, highlighting ongoing issues with crime and drug trafficking within Mexico. The transfer of the suspects signals a move forward in the Meléndez family murder investigation, now years after the initial crime.
