A 10-month-old baby boy has died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital while being treated for measles symptoms. The infant, who hailed from Itna in Kishoreganj, was admitted to the hospital's measles isolation ward on June 2. According to Dr. Jhantu Sarkar, the hospital's focal person, this latest casualty brings the total number of child deaths to 50. The deaths occurred within the isolation ward over the course of the outbreak. Medical authorities continue to monitor the situation as the death toll climbs. This incident highlights the severity of the current measles surge in the region.
