Firefighters are continuing to extinguish a large fire that broke out Thursday at a warehouse in Havlíčkův Brod storing plastics and cardboard. According to Mayor Zbyněk Stejskal, the blaze did not result in the release of hazardous substances into the air or water. The facility, located on Strojírenská Street, was used as a storage space by two separate businesses dealing with glass and plastic products. Preliminary estimates from fire officials place the damage at 350 million Czech crowns. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Authorities have confirmed no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident. The ongoing operation focuses on complete extinguishment and preventing further spread.
