Authorities have uncovered a massive recruitment exam-rigging scheme involving local government positions. More than 3,000 individuals are currently linked to the fraud, though investigators believe the actual number of participants may be higher. The scheme is estimated to be worth approximately 4.5 billion baht. The fraudulent activity centered on a nationwide recruitment process covering 87 different job categories. In total, 6,669 positions were up for contention in the affected examinations. Investigators are continuing to expand their probe to identify all complicit parties. The scale of the operation highlights significant vulnerabilities in the government's hiring process.
