A 51-year-old man named Raul Morales was arrested after stabbing two people in Manhattan. The victims, an Asian man and a Jewish man, were targeted in two separate incidents. Police Chief Jessica Tisch reported that both victims were hospitalized but their lives are not in danger. Witnesses and victims stated that Morales shouted "Allahu Akbar" during the attacks. The NYPD is currently investigating whether the incidents should be classified as hate crimes. While the suspect has no prior psychiatric record, investigators believe mental health issues may have played a role. Mayor Zohran Mamdani condemned the acts, stating such hateful attacks have no place in the city.
